This week Monterey CA played host to the 2012 Specialized product launch. Richard spent the week there. He's very proud of the work he's done this year helping to redesign and relaunch an important part of their website. Here he is looking happy.
We spent the night in a hotel room with Emmett. It wasn't all that relaxing. I do, however, think that Emmett enjoyed the luxury of eating an apple in a large pillow filled bed. It took us forever to get him to sleep. We ended up drinking a bottle of wine in the dark and sitting on the little patio that overlooked the parking lot. Yep we're THAT romantic. Emmett leapt out of bed at 5:30 with enough energy to power a small plane! Given the paper thin quality of the walls, I don't think that we were the only ones rising to the sound of an energetic 2 year old.
A trip to Monterey isn't complete without a visit to the Aquarium. They just reopened their "Open Sea" exhibit which is breathtaking. We also saw a very interesting looking new fish in the tank, check him out below.
Any and all trips to Monterey aren't complete without a visit to the beach.
We always go to Asilomar in Pacific Grove. It's a beautiful place to be.
